CTIC Foundation elected to the GKP Executive Committee
On 15th July, 2010, CTIC Foundation was elected to the Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) Executive Committee for the term 2010/2011.
The CTIC Foundation is a non profit institution founded and supported by the Regional Government of Asturias and a consortium of regional private enterprises, leaders in the field of ICT.
The Foundation focuses its work around three main areas; Information Society, Technology and Research, Development and Innovation. The CTIC also hosts the W3C Office for Spain http://www.w3c.es dedicated to standards protocols for the World Wide Web.

The ISA Work Programme. European Commission30/07/2010 
On 30 June 2010, the European Commission (EC) adopted the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA) Work Programme, which allocates €26 million to actions aimed at supporting electronic cooperation among public administrations in the European Union (EU) Member States.
The actions will help administrations to exchange information more easily and to deliver better services to citizens and businesses.

Public Sector Information has been one of the subjects that Members of the UK Parliament have recently considered and to probe the public sector information policy of the new UK Coalition Government.
The topics considered include amongst others:

Nouvelles mesures en France dans le domaine des données publiques21/07/2010 
Le Conseil de modernisation des politiques publiques, présidé par le Président de la République, a adopté une série de près de 150 nouvelles mesures pour la période 2011-2013.
Un nouvel axe de modernisation consistant à développer une culture de l’innovation dans les services publics met ainsi en perspective plusieurs chantiers déjà engagés par l’APIE avec les administrations dans le domaine de la valorisation des données publiques.
